I'm depressed, suicidal and a little paranoid. What can I do?!

Question: My other question didn't get any decent answers imo, so I'm trying again. Talking to a friend is not an option, since I don't thrust anyone of them. The few people I thrust doesn't talk to me anymore, so no help getting there. Involving parents, therapists etc. is not an option. (I'm difficult, I know...)

Well ... Any thoughts?

Answers: How old are you? I ask this since you mentioned 'parents' - most older people would reference 'family'. If you have depression that seems to be getting worse and you can't think your way out of it, you need help - full stop. This is not something you can get out of on your own.

I understand how it could be difficult to trust someone enough to let them know about this, it is a very personal thing to talk about your mental health and issues like depression. Is this why the people whom you do trust 'don't talk to you anymore'? Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to remain close to someone that you feel you can't help. This would be all the more reason to seek help from someone.

You are online discussing this though - which I personally think is a great idea. The internet is a wonderful resource for people to say exactly what is on their mind and not be embarrassed or afraid to say it. For people that are going through a crisis, that is invaluable. Stick around at Yahoo Answers - there are always people here to talk. You may want to find some other discussion boards or forums. I've made some very close 'online friends' and these are just as important as real ones(they kind of are real).

The thing is that you need to talk to people. You also need to get a bit more detailed about what exactly is bothering you - is it to do with sex, drugs, esteem, money, or do you even know? Dealing with the problem head on is the only way you'll overcome it and you have to get more precise than just being 'depressed, suicidal and a little paranoid'.

Again, if you can't think yourself out of this - you may need medication. It may not be anything you can do anything about - just some sort of imbalance you've got. These things aren't necessarily permanent either - maybe you just need medication for a while until things sort themselves out.

Most importantly though, keep talking to people. Get out in the sun - it really does help! Tidy up your room - that's another good one to get yourself out of a funk. Relax, take warm baths, don't dwell on your problems, and just KEEP TALKING TO PEOPLE - even if its just online.

I hope this helps and wish you all the best.
