She thinks that the world is coming to an end; she hasn't left her house in 3 days!. She won't open the door for anyone, including the evaluating nurse that we sent to her!. She thinks that there are cameras in her house, and someone has planted microchips in her skin to track her!.
This started suddenly about 3 weeks ago, she is not known for this type of behavior!. Actually she's a pretty no-nonsense lady and it seems so strange to see her behaving this way!. Does anyone know anything about these diseases that maybe sound similar to her caseWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First I would want to know if she is on any new medication lately!. That may be the culprit, or it may be Dementia or Alzheimer!. My dad had Alzheimer's and he became very suspicious of everything and did very strange things like polish tan shoes with black shoe polish!. She really needs to be seen by a good doctor that specializes in elder care!. First do check what medication she is on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Contact her doctor, family, and the evaluating nurse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dementia!. My grandmother developed it in her late 80s!. She thought there were people in the house!. She was found standing by the street waiting to be picked up by the 'kids' when no one was supposed to pick her up!. She started ripping up her mail because she was paranoid that people would read it!. A light bulb blew out and she thought the people in the house turned the lights off on her!. She's in a nursing home now and takes Risperdol for her delusions which works fairly well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
