Question: Postpartum depresion or bipolar!?
my phychiatric told me i have depresion mood disorder what is that mean!?!?!? i'm taking paroxetine clonazepan and seroquel!?!?!?!? i have a baby 10 weeks ago i was diagnose 2 days ago i have been depressed since before i was pregnnant!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

a mood disorder is most likely bipolar!. postpartum depression occurs after the baby was born!. BUT you really should have your doctor clear this up for you!. You should always ask your psychiatrist questions and seek a second opinion if your feeling uneasy about the course he is taking!. A depressive mood disorder means you are depressed!. That has nothing to do with bipolar disorder, unless he thinks that is what you have!. You have mixed up terms!.
If you were depressed befroe you got pregnant than you still have depression!.
If you were fine before and during the pregnancy and only got depressed after the birth of the baby, then that is post-partum depression and is caused by hormones!.
So not sure what your question is!? Except that getting medications and therapy will help your depression so that you can better care for your child!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
