I can't sleep!! HELP!!?!


Question: I can't sleep!! HELP!!!?
I feel like I have insomnia!.!.!. what can I do!?!? You see, this all started when I started working at my job!. I'm a cashier at a 7-day store on a military base!. My hours usually are 4:30PM-1AM!. I am soooooo tired at work because I overslept or didn't sleep enough the night before!. When I get off at 1AM I'm so tired!. But by the time I get home I'm wide awake!.!.!. and I end up staying awake until 3AM, 4AM or sometimes 5AM!!! I have such a hard time falling asleep when I crawl into bed no matter what the situation is!.!.!. I don't know what to do!.!.!. Should I see a doctor!?!? HELP!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you have a lot of stuff going on in your life right now and therefore, it's hard for you to relax!. Your job makes your sleeping pattern very inconsistent!. I would try to get used to the job and the nightly hours a little more so that it would be easier to adjust because every one has an internal clock that helps tell them when to wake up and sleep!. It's always best to try to find ways to go to sleep!. I will list a few for you:
-try listening to soothing music
-try reading a bit before heading to bed
-inhale and exhale deeply to relax your body
-do light exercise work out (pilates)
-watch a bit of tv
-take a warm bath/shower
-just close your eyes and make sure not to open them (eventually, you might fall asleep)
-keep yourself warm in the night (you lose most of your body heat from your toes and neck) so if you're freezing, put on some socks!.
-Arrange your room so that you would want to go to sleep (ex: settings of light to become more dim, a comfortable, clean bed, an inviting room)
-thinking of positive things and list what you are grateful for (being positive can help you sleep faster because you aren't too stressed and holding back upon sleep)
-drink warm tea

If these don't work, I would continue trying until I get used to it!. I would consult a doctor last because I don't really have a strong belief in medicine!. You never know there might be side effects with medicine and pills!. Best of luck and happy sleeping! =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know how you feel!! Find a natural doctor in your area, they will fix you without shoving sleeping pills down your throat!. You may just need some acupuncture!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mother had that same problem, here's your solution and you'll be sleeping the night you do it! Its called: get your doctor to prescribe you ambien!. But take it before bedtime and plan on sleeping all night!. Don't do it at any other time! good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. He can recommend a sleep aid fit to your needs!. I have severe insomnia as well!. I'm on Trazadone (not addictive) Pro Som (slightly addictive) & Xanax (very addictive)!. I forgot Cannabis too b/c even with all that I still can't get to sleep!.

My work schedule is screwed up too! I'm having an awful time!. I think I am going to go to doc!. 3 days a week I work third!. the rest I try to be normal!. my body don't know if it's coming or going!. I have klonopin!. but it's not working anymore!. I've tried lunesta before worked good except, it left terrible taste in your mouth!. maybe ambien cr!. my father in law is on it and it knocks him out coldWww@Answer-Health@Com

u can always try sleeping pills or if ur not comfortable with that go see a doctor and i'm sure he could perscribe u something!. i'm always up till late too so i know how u feel!. if u need someone to talk to late at night i'm seriously usually still up so i'm on aim and my screename is TheBTPYoda!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For a while i had this kind of problem!. I found certain music help greatly!. Enigma worked well for me!. Also not to think about things you have to do, at bedtime!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My advice is to do the following:
1!. Have a warm shower and wear wide comfortable night wear;
2!. Drink a full cup of cow's milk;
3!. Go to bed, close your eyes, switch off your mind and relax all your muscles with the feeling that you are sinking through your mattress!.
