Question: ADD in children!.!. adhd !?!?!?
Is it true that the kids with this symptom canahve something worng with there heart!?!? My oldest has ADHD!.!.!. and i heard i need to get his heart checked for disease or something is this true!?!? i need help please let me know if you know anything about this stuff!.!. he suffers enough i hope nothing is seriously wrong which iknow isnt !.!.!.!. jus i need some advice for him !.!.!. pleaseWww@Answer-Health@Com

i have adhd and i get check ups every month and they say everything is normal!. I also asked if adhd effects anything in my body and they said that it just makes a little hyper and harder to pay attention!

The reason you need to have his heart checked first is because the medication for ADHD is a stimulant meaning it speeds up the heartrate!. They want to make sure he has no pre-existing heart condition that will make it dangerous for him to take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hi, ADHD affects the head (brain)!. Frankly, I have never heard it being caused by problems with the heart!.

This is the first I have heard of it and both my daughter and I have ADHD!.

there is no evidence or studies suggesting a heart/ADHD correlation!.!.!. It prob has more to do with medication and the fact that the dr is worried about the child!. Could be your child has hypertension, murmer, etc!. which could be affected my medsWww@Answer-Health@Com
