I've been on it for over three years, almost since it came out!. At first I was a little dizzy, but most of the side effects are actually pretty good -- it's activating, so it wakes you up!. It actually decreased my appetite (I'd been on Remeron, with Celexa, for some time), and aside from the little palpitation things that occurred at first, I generally felt much better immediately!. I still get very depressed, but my episodes are shorter and more easily lifted!. I'm bipolar but I'm on two mood stabilizers as well!.
Bear in mind that everyone is different!. When I went on Cymbalta, I did it in the psych ward because of the risk of suicidal ideation!. It's a rare but real risk, so you should be as safe as possible going on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I have tried cymbalta!. It didn't help me, though!. It is just for regular depression!. When I switched doctors, I realized that I have a bipolar depression, which meant that I needed a different kind of medicine!. I now take Lamictal, and I am doing much better!. I didn't have any side effects, but I wasn't on it any longer than a couple of months!. Everybody is different!. You should try it and see if it works for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've been on cymbalta for the past three years, I've never had any side effects and it's really helped me come out of the depression!. It's taken me almost three years to feel a real difference in my depression and it's not something that I've felt with any of my other depressions!. I'm feeling happiness for the very first time in about 15 years, I'm able to do some things that I've never done in 15 years like sleep with a normal pattern, I'm eating a lot better and I interact with other's a lot better!. My psychiatrist and psychologist feel that my depression is going into remission for the first time in my life, and I've dealt with depression since I was nine years old!. I will be 53 in August but cymbalta seems to have done what no other anti-depressant has done for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
