This is seriously stressing me out...?!
Question: This is seriously stressing me out!.!.!.!?
Last December, I lost my retainer!. I finally got a new one on May 19!.
I only wear it at night which I did last Monday-Friday!.
Last Saturday afternoon, I drove with my mother to Delaware for my cousin's graduation (I live in D!.C)
I wore my retainer on Saturday night, and its case was in my backpack!. On Sunday morning, I clearly remember waking up and putting my retainer in its case, which was still in my backpack!. I kept my case in my backpack on the whole trip back and didn't remove my retainer on the drive home for anything!.
Sunday, my mother dropped me off at my dad's place, and that night, my retainer wasn't in my case!. I haven't been able to find it since!. I slept at my dad's house last night!.
My 11-year-old brother says he doesn't know anything, I don't know if I should believe him (he's a compulsive liar, etc!.)
I'm 14 and I have an anxiety issue, though I don't know if that's making it worse!.
My dad knows my retainer is gone, but I don't want to tell my mom!.

Just explain to your mom everything that you listed here!. She should be able to understand and get you a new one!. After all, the money she invested in your dental work is worth more than making you suffer over a lost retainer!. Isn't true that the less you wear the retainer the more likely your teeth will become crooked again!? I would just be an adult with her and fess up that it was misplaced despite your attentiveness!. Or maybe see if your Dad can help you explain it or help you pay for some of the retainer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
