Answers:
It could be that she is reminded of her own story whenever she hears/sees your own self-harming!.
Then again she might have her own stresses in life at the moment!.
She does have one point, though!. It IS you that is cutting you, no one else!. This doesn't change that the things she is saying to you are hurtful and insensitive!.
You are NOT alone!. You need to rely on yourself, and take care of yourself, and get counselling - this problem does not get better by itself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She does understand!.
If she's cut herself before!.

We who cut themeselve (or, like me and your bestfriend, USED to) Don't realize that it doesn't change anything until it's too late!.

You think it could help, don't you!? You think everyone may be better off without you!? That your family just doesn't care!? That even your best friend has abandoned you, you're all alone!?

No matter what you think - you're wrong!.

Take it from someone with 10 years expreince - sometimes things that seem like they help will make things worse!.

Buck up, you could be starving in africa!.

If you look at the world with a brighter light, then everything will make more sense!. Trust me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People who dont go through depression and cutting do not understand why we do it!. Your friend thinks its simple, to just stop and be "normal" and everything will be okay, when in reality it's not that easy!.

I think you should try to talk to your friend and parents, and maybe show her some info!. online about people who cut and why they do it!. You should really tell your parents that you want some help, and you dont want to be judged, just understood!.

If you go to the doctors and tell them how you are feeling and why you cut and such, and they can use all their resources to help get you better successfully!.

First of all, self-injury is never the answer!. It's okay to be upset, and it's okay to feel sad!. But it's not okay to hurt yourself because of things that you have absolutely no control over!. You deserve better than that, and I think you know it!. If you don't, then maybe you should reevaluate the issue here!. Self-injury has gotten a terrible reputation in the past decade or so from those who only want attention!. If you're hurting yourself to get the attention of others, then you absolutely should commit suicide, because there are hundreds of other, more productive, ways to get the attention and help you need to get through a difficult time!.

I have struggled with depression, and I know that it's not easy!. But, I feel that my situation only made me a stronger person in the end!. I never got help, because I was too afraid to admit to myself that I had a problem!. I was completely in denial, so I ended up just fighting through it by myself!. I never succumbed to self-injury though!.

I'm guessing your friend doesn't want to support you because if she really has been through it herself, she's probably scared!. If she cares about you at all, then she doesn't want anything bad to happen to you!. If she yells at you, it's because she knows that you deserve better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
