I notice that your name seems to be Japanese, and I know that in Japan there tends to be a stigma attached to having any mental problems, so that may be why your mom doesn't want to involve mental health personnel!. Many people also find that during the period of puberty they have more anxiety than in other parts of their lives!. Hormones are "raging" and it is a big transitional time in life!.

But I don't mean to belittle your fears!.

It may be anxiety disorder, but it could also have a basis in your physical condition!. For example, a cousin of mine used to have panic attacks, and later they found out that one of her heart valves wasn't working quite right!. (It didn't kill her, though, so don't worry!.)

Her daughter had such bad anxiety attacks in high school that some days she would refuse to get out of the car!. She did see a psychiatrist, who decided that it was all caused by her being too attached to her grandmother, as they had moved to a different state and could not see the grandmother often!. However, this doctor was all wrong and it was really caused by a problem in one of her ovaries (which was later cleared up and she even went on to have two children)!.

So if your mom won't let you see a psychologist, it would be a good idea if you could ask your family physician about your anxiety!. Your mom might be willing for you to have a physical check-up!. A too-fast heartbeat can be a sign of a thyroid disorder, for example, which is quite treatable!.

If there is something physically wrong, a doctor can help set it right, and even if it turned out to be all psychological, he might be able to give you a prescription for something to help it, so that you could avoid seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist!.

If your mother won't help you, I think you should check your heart rate several times a day when you are "at rest" and keep a chart of it!. Then, if your heart rate really is too high, you can ask the school nurse what to do and show her the chart!. Your mother would probably not go against a recommendation from that source!.

Here is a quote from an Internet site about a too fast heart beat:

"A fast heart rate is called tachycardia!. The definition of "too fast" usually depends on the person's age and physical activity!.!.!. A teenager has it if the resting heart rate is more than 100 beats a minute!. An exercising teenager may have a normal heart rate of up to 200 beats a minute!."

Until you can see a doctor, remember that feeling anxiety in itself won't harm you, so don't let the mere fact that you feel it turn into a vicious cycle that feeds on itself!. Drink some warm black tea or another soothing drink!. Lie down and read a book you really like or listen to some of your favorite music!.

You could talk to a close friend or family member, someone you feel comfortable with!. If such a person exists, it would probably be a lot more fufilling than talking to a stranger!. I have an anxiety disorder too, but I wouldn't recommend dealing with it the way I do!.!.!.!. You could try deep breathing exercises, those sometimes help!. Try thinking about something else to take your mind off your anxiety, something positve in your life!. Immerse yourself in a hobby!. Read!. Write down your feelings in a daily journal!. There are tons of things you could do!. Just don't take medication!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you should discuss this with your mother a lot more than i think you have!. It is really seriuos!.!. i have it too, really bad - ive been shaking all day today lol!. (;S)
why doesnt she want you to go to a psychologist!? they help you relax by methods other than drugs, which you might be able to achieve good results with!.

Perhaps if you could just ring up a psychologist yourself and explain over the phone - they are very caring people and will be willing to explain to your mother what the situation is, and what they can do to help!.

It is really important that you go and see one!. :o)
it will help!.

your mother doesnt understand the way you feel!. its important that you make her!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anxiety can make you have these symptoms!. It can make you feel like you are going to die! You don't have to see a psychologist!. A regular doctor can give you medication for this!. Ask your mom to take you to your regular doctor and get some help!. This is a real and serious disorder and medication will help!

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
