Does this sound like Bipolar psychosis?!

Question: Does this sound like Bipolar psychosis!?
Does this sound like it could be psychosis!? At times I've had this overwhelming feeling that I'm being watched by spirits or entities from other dimensions, and I will think that I see them out of the corner of my eye, but when I turn to look nothing is there!. At one point, the feeling was so strong that I was absolutely sure one was standing right in front of me, but I just couldn't see it -- my whole body went cold, the hair on my arms stood straight up, and panic raced through me!. I screamed out for it to go away, but nothing was there!. Then I got it into my head that the beings fed on fear, and if I thought negative or fearful thoughts they would try to attack me!. This persisted for maybe about a week or two, and I've had several episodes like this that I can remember!. At other times in my life, I've had other strange episodes like becoming convinced that I was a reincarnation of famous people or my great grandmother who committed suicide before I was born, but I'm not even a religious person -- I don't even believe in ghosts on a conscious level!.

In the past I've been diagnosed with bipolar II, but I wonder if I may actually have a mild case of bipolar I!. During my hypomanic states, I've also experienced some things that seemed more like true mania, like grandiose plans and imaginings -- that I could become secretary of state or something if I just worked hard enough, despite dropping out of college 3 times!. I've never had any textbook manic episodes though like actually believing I was the president, or hearing voices, or feeling an urge to harm anyone!. My hypomania has led me to quit jobs and school out of nowhere and move to other states, sometimes with total strangers!. I don't know if that is considered severe impairment, but it's not nearly as bad as some of the horror stories I've heard about people with bipolar I!.

I know only a psychiatrist can sort all of this out, but I've been burned them in the past and I'm scared to go to another one!. Also, I've been managing my disorder fairly well on my own for about 3 years now, but that's basically because I'm very aware of my symptoms!.

Sorry this is so long, but any helpful information is appreciated!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok, I am not a doctor, but I do have some personal experience with this!.

It sounds like bipolar 1 most probably!. Do you feel the delusions ONLY during mania or all the time!?

Are you hallucinating at all!? If you are all the time whether you are depressed, normal or manic, it is called schizo-affective disorder, this is basically schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in one disorder!.

It does really sound like bipolar disorder 1 with psychosis, which does sometimes have severe delusional thinking!. If you feel them ONLY during mania that is!.

These are serious disorders, although manageable by its own, it only gets worse without medication as the severity will keep increasing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please, please get professional help!. I have small symptoms and that is why I continued reading your posting!. Please do not look for help here!. Go back to your counselor/doctor!. You know as well as I do that that is the way to go!. Take care, please!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could very well be psychosis!. The symptoms you described, I believe can also be signs of schizophrenia!. I'm not saying you have that, but maybe you should make sure!.

Good luck and God Bless!Www@Answer-Health@Com
