I'm stuck in depression again?!


Question: I'm stuck in depression again!?
I haven't washed for days now!. I haven't been outside!. I sleep in the day and am awake all night!. I live solely off bread and cigarettes!. I have to go to work tomorrow!. What do I do to make myself normal again!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you could do with some support to get some clarity and sunshine back into your life!.

First of all (coming from a trainee counsellor and someone who has been in a very similar place to you), you are ALEADY normal!

Take some baby steps when you read these answers!. Have a nice hot bath/shower and put on some clean clothes!. Gather some money together and go to the shops to get some fruit/veg etc (this will give you some fresh air and you'll bump into some friendly folk too!)

Tomorrow, get in touch with your Doc/GP and tell him what you are going through and ask for some help in coping with the situation you have found yourself in!.

Go find a picture of yourself as a little lad/girl and take a long hard look at the little kid you once were!. If you found them in the state you are in now (try and figure out when it was you felt it okay to treat yourself this way)!. Then decide, What would you do to help this little person!?!?!? When you have answered this question - go do it!.!.!.!.!. This will immediately raise your self esteem and self worth because you are taking a hands on approach to looking after yourself!.

This advice is all given in the 'for what its worth' department!. Follow your own heart, but until you feel less wobbly and unsure - get some help (we all need it from time to time) and you are worth it!.

I know it seems dark now, but you'll see!. I also know its a popular thing to say, but it is true ' It is always darkest before the dawn!.!.'

This is what i do, so it might work for you, i experience really bad depression to the point of suicidal thoughts every now and then, but to get myself out of them i:

- Bath/shower, you will feel refreshed and if you wash yourself with your favourite smell (eg!. mines lavender, so i have lavendar wash) you will feel more at ease and less tense
- Chat with a friend or family member, just a nice conversation about how they are - it distracts you from your life and focus on other things making you realise the positives in life
- Watch a comedy, wether its a film or a tv program
- Perhaps you should buy a pet!? its been prooven that stroking cats for some bizarre reason makes people happier!. Its nice to have friendly company!.
- Cut down on the ciggies, try not to be so dependant, but if you think that it helps then i guess carry on
- If you dont feel like making food, you said u were eating solely off bread!? thats probs cos its easily excesible!. so why not order a takeout instead!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

im afraid it does not happen like that - you have to get help and help yourself along the way by getting to the doctors, work will be good it will take your mind of things, but do seek medical help before things gets worse!. do not hide away, its the worst thing you can do!. also living of bread is not good, you will be lacking in vitamins that could make you tired!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start with nutrition!. Eating poorly, having unstable blood sugar can have a depressive effect on your body!. Also allergies can also manifest itself this way!. Avoid or cutdown on white flour and sugar, eat whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables!. Experiment and avoid dairy products and wheat for two weeks!. Avoid stimulants such as cigarettes, caffeine, soda, alcohol!. Take a multivitamin, vit D 1000 IU's , 5-HTP 100mg and vit C 1000 mg everyday!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi! Sometimes when people feel down they struggle to force themselves to do things, even to get up!. I have advice for you: get a notebook, sit down, write things in it about tommorrow, whats need to be done, you can even put time, for example-i'll do my washing at 19!.00, etc!.!.YOU are the answer to your present little problem, you just need that little push, encourage yourself, be in control of your activities, your body and mind!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
