Why do people think I'm bipolar?!
Question: Why do people think I'm bipolar?
Answers:
Back when I was a kid, they called it part of your personality. Some people go from one extreme to another, just part of their make up. Like MANY other things today, what are simply components of character are automatically identified as mental illnesses.
There's nothing wrong with you. Don't let them put you on medication, avoid that at all costs. You dunno what trouble is until you find yourself on something that REALLY makes you fckin crazy.
I would be shocked if you have it from what you write! In my case almost every symptom matches up, for mania, depression or mixed episodes when I relate back to how I was at the time. I've been to doctors and psychologists a lot recently and have been diagnosed with type II only which is apparently the "mild" version. I've even had hallucinations, been risking my life, and felt completely euphoric and my doctor said its not true mania yet. There is such a thing as cyclothymia or otherwise known as bipolar III by the way, but I'd rather live with that than try to fix it to be honest. If you never loose your judgement or swing back into major depression then hypo mania would be great, unless you think otherwise.
I'm diagnosed with it myself
I think maybe the people telling you that just don't understand what bipolar really is. Bipolar is a word thrown around to describe every little change in mood, and people jump to the conclusion they have it when they're really having normal mood swings. You have a good understanding of what bipolar really is, and I don't think you have it at all.
I am bipolar and the bigest symptom is the grate depression. I dnt think u r bipolar maby ppl just want u to show ur happier side more and try to talk to ur doc about the sleeping
