How do I control my hypochondria?!
Question: How do I control my hypochondria?
Answers:
I have your answer:
What you have is called a factitious disorder or a psycho-somatic disorder. It is a form of histrionic thinking that is related to an event that affects your emotional well-being.
This is much like hysterical blindness, when someone wakes up in the morning and actually can't see. They are truly blinded for a time, until the stressful event passes and their sight returns to them. This is a true psychiatric symptom that is well-known and easily treated.
You will need to see a psychiatrist for short-term treatment of this. And so, please ask your doctors who are treating you to refer you to a competent colleague of theirs and ask to have your medical records shared with that doctor. If both doctors are able to coordinate care for you, you will be over this sooner. But don't go on suffering. Be well.
Also, check the back of your insurance card and call the 800 customer service number if you want a referral to a psychiatrist who accepts your health plan. But you need to get started on your therapy to resolve this problem.
I wish you all the best.
It is possible to imagine symptoms, or cause them by bothering the area by imagining them. I suppose you could take a break from dating to not worry or see a psychologist
