im schizophrenic and it affects the same part of the brain and we take the same medication, yes you sound bipolar and i have went through the same things see a psychologist and it will take awhile to get to a psychiatrist and get on medication, im schizophrenic which is worse so it took 1 visit and i told them i was having auditory and visual hallucinations and they got me in quick but other than that i get all the things you mentioned and that was last summer when i was 18. on medication the mood swings happen a lot less
for bipolar disorder the psychologist will have you take a test, it might take a while to diagnose if your not serious about telling them your bipolar since they dont want to misdiagnose you since the drugs we take are serious and arent good for people who dont have our high level of dopamine.
Im going to the doctors/psycologyst/whatever soon with those and other symtoms of bipolarity (is that even a word?!) i would suggest you research it more then if you seem to be bipolar or close to it there are many things similar and you can go to the doctor to see what it is and get on medication. Best of luck
Extreme mood swings characterise the bi polar condition. I'm not sure from what you said if you have this condition or not. Violent outbursts of temper for no apparent reason are also symptoms, but you would be well advised to see a medical person suitably qualified to diagnose this condition, rather than to jump to any conclusions yourself.
so it may be bipolar, but there are many disorders with the symptons you descibed go to a mental health clinic if your worried , but it does sound like bipolar
Hey-- I think what you're describing sounds a little more intense than just normal mood swings that all teens (and everyone else, for that matter) have. It sounds like you could benefit from talking to a trusted mental health professional. If your school has a counselor or a nurse, start asking for help. If you don't think you can go that route, try calling a helpline for teens, asking clergy, or looking through the phone book. Reach out. Remember-- if it is bipolar disorder, there are lots of treatments that will help. And if it's not, then you'll be glad to know it's not. Either way, you'll feel better for getting help. I did! Good luck.
