Question: How to become a Psychiatrist in the UK?
i am living in the UK and i really want to work in psychiatry and it is my understanding that i have to obtain a medical degree to prescribe medicine.. I was just wondering what the requirements are for getting onto the course is (e.g what A levels i have to take) and what the medical degree is because i constantly look on the university websites but all this undergraduate stuff really confuses me!

Medical degrees are NOT undergraduate degrees.
Everyone has to take basic courses the first four years of college/university after high school. Those include basic science, and liberal arts classes.
To get into medical school, one applies for after the first four years of university. Everyone gets assigned an advisor that is there to help you with all your questions and answers and advises you on how to best get into medical school the classes to take and how to apply and even where to apply.
if you get good grades , they may even recommend you in a letter .
So, everyone talks to their advisor , takes a lot of science classes and then after medical school and their internship they specialize in psychiatry.

Getting into medical school is really hard - most require 4 grade As to let you in.
I'm not sure why you are confused about the courses. An undergraduate is someone taking their first degree and who has not qualified yet, a post graduate is someone who has taken one degree and has decided to do a further qualification like a masters or PHD. Medical degrees are undergraduate degrees.
