Someone, please help me?!
Question: Someone, please help me?
Answers:
Hey, Im 16. My girlfriend of 7 months went througha traumatic experience in her family (obviously not my business to disclose) and her parents wanted her to see a ppsychiatristand she just thought that would be the worst thing. Slowly but surley she realized it was nice to talk to someone besides me about her problems. You saw a psychologist and it may not be a bad idea to research the difference between these two professionals. Next, consider activities in your community you can get into: sports, clubs, etc. or things as simple as a CPR class or something to get out there and talk to people. I cant pretend to be a specialist on these kinds but I just have an opinion that it may not be a bad idea to go socialize. Also, please, please, please dont hurt yourself, it's truly not worth it at all.
Personal Opinion
I think you need to talk to somebody. But please, do not harm yourself. Life is to valuable to throw away. Just go to a public school maybe get on facebook, twitter ect. and put yourself out there and get some friends man....you will be ok. Maybe join a sport? It helps you meet many eople and its a lot of fun. Best of luck =)
Common Sense
Go and see a psychiatrist like Bryceguy suggested, I see mine every few weeks and it helps tremendously with my depression.
This is all just my opinion and I'm not a doctor...
Your conditions needs the attention of a psychiatrist, not psychologist. There's a big difference between the two. A psychiatrist is a doctor who is trained to diagnose and treat conditions such as yours. He can also prescribe drugs that will help you.
In the meantime, understand that what you're feeling is temporary and with treatment, you WILL feel better. There's no question about that. It seems you haven't told your parents. Why not? Do you think they will ignore you or blow you off? If you're really, seriously thinking about hurting yourself, you should stop and call 911 for help.
