Question:
Confrontation and obligation issues?
I am a people pleaser. I go to great lengths to make sure everyone is happy.. then I put myself always last. Why I have no clue. To make a really long story short as possible.. I am married for 25 years. I am mentally, physically ready to make a break in the marriage. There is no reconciliation. I have been hurt and I have hurt him in the process. Its over. I lost his trust and while he says everything is ok now. .. he does bring up the past frequently. I am not proud of some of the things I have done.. but that's another story. Why does the fact of confrontation scare the crap out of me??? I have so many great times to bring up the fact I am not happy and I want to leave. When it comes time for me to open my mouth and start to talk.. I get all nervous and afraid. Why? I honestly feel so obligated to stay in this unloving marriage because I feel that its my job to be here to cook, clean, and let him vent on me. I feel so obligated.. Why???? Why can I not get passed this.
Answers:
You were brought up that way; probably criticised by parents for being selfish, self centred, and unappreciative of their efforts.
Others: Desire for security? Fear of being alone at your age?
Hypnosis is merely a heightened state of suggestibility, in which you are better able to communicate with your subconscious mind.
85% of people are suggestible to some degree; 15% - 20% highly so, and 15% - 20% aren't much at all, so you could either preferably seek professional hypnotherapy, or, if not an option, hypnosisdownloads.com has one about overcoming fear of confrontation.
