What makes people grumpy if they dont get sleep?
i get really mad when i have to get up or i have to stay up for hours at a time, i dont realize im getting mad, what causes this? no dumb answers plz

Inadequate sleep affects our brain, interfering with our normal coping skills. We snap a lot quicker. Some people are more sensitive to lack of sleep than others. Also, as we get older, our body is less willing to go without that recommended eight hours of sleep. If you have a schedule that permits it, try one or two short (15-20 minutes max) "power naps" during the day. Find a quiet spot and set a timer. Also, really try to limit your caffeine and sugar-they can cause really abrupt highs and equally abrupt lows. Another possibility can be the QUALITY of sleep you are getting. If you aren't sleeping well, then no matter how much you sleep, it doesn't feel like it's enough. Good luck.
