What can i do to occupy myself mentally?
i have been diagnosed with anxiety and I am off work for a few months. instead of sitting around watching TV, what practical things can I do to help myself get better? any tips or suggestions for some helpful time fillers?
Answers:
Go to the library and take out books on meditation and yoga--these can really help. While there, also look for some relaxation tapes/CDs, and some books on alternative remedies for anxiety.
Get yourself some lavender candles or incense--as this scent is very relaxing. While at the store, get some Chamomile Tea or Sleepytime Tea--which are also relaxing.
Most importantly, walk outdoors in nature every day. This helps very much--much more so than even walking the mall. Nature has a way of calming us down.
