Yipes! By your wording...."hitting rock bottom" , it sounds to me that you don't need any more breakage!! Maybe, it would be more effective to find a kinder, gentler way to heal the breakages you've already suffered. There are other disciplines (if that's what you feel you need) that are just as rigorous, without the breaking down of the self. Sometimes, the cost of some things is just way too high. Peace.
