How do you cope with Bi-Polar? What do you do to feel better?!
Question:
How do you cope with Bi-Polar? What do you do to feel better?
I have a friend that is coping with Bi-Polar and was wondering how people with Bi-Polar cope? What do you do to feel better? I would prefer people with Bi-Polar to answer this question but I am also open to hearing other peoples opinion. Please tell me if you have Bi-Polar when answering the question.
Answers:
I'm bipolar, and my main key to feeling better is keeping up with my medication. It took a while to find the right combination of meds for me, but now that I have, as long as I take them properly I can live a relatively normal life. It's also very important to surround myself with people who know what's going on with me, and accept it. I get irritable and throw the occasional tantrum. I get depressed and withdraw. I need people to talk to during those times, and people who don't take it personally, because it's not. I journal a lot when I don't have anyone to talk to, too. It's good to sort out some of my thoughts on my own that way.
