We tried everything?

I have a friend and she is in a abusive relationship. her boyfriend of 5 years hits her, he controlls her life, he tried to rape her, and he has put a gund in her face, and hes a coke heaad. She knows she cant marry this guy because of the abuse but it seems like lately she will do it just to make him happy and just because for some reason she has a little feelings left for him. Then recently she met a guy and we all think hes a great guy, she has told us that she is falling in love with him, she even calls him love. She has told us that she wants to be with him but for financial reasons she is with her boyfriend. But recently it seems like after all he does to her, she doesnt want out. Is there a point to where we have to say ok this is how its gonna be for the rest of her life. she says she doesnt love him, but yet she stops at every oppurtunity to get help, we told her she could stay with us, and for her to call the cops but yet she does none of it. its like she doesnt want help

If she won't let you help her, there's nothing you can do. It's ultimately her decision. It may be that she's been with him for so long she is afraid to not be with him. Probably he has verbally abused her, made her feel that she is incapable of taking care of herself, that no one else would want her, that she's worthless - these jerks do that, like putting someone else down makes them feel better about their loser selves. Just keep offering help, let her know that you'll help her get out safely when she wants you to. But she still has to come to a point where she decides. However, if you ever see him hit her, you can call the cops yourself and have him arrested. As long as you witnessed the attack yourself, it doesn't matter if she refuses to testify because you saw it happen. Good luck.
