Prozac question?!

Prozac question?

How long does one 20mg last? ( hours ) from when I take it to when it wears off? ...Its my first time taking it.. ( for anxiety and panic disorder) Are there any side effects? if so...what are they?

First of all, let me congratulate you on doing something about your depression, which I assume is why you're taking Prozac. Prozac is generally effective and doesn't have any violent side effects as a general rule. And even where Prozac or Prozac-like drugs wouldn't work, others can be effective. It generally takes two to four weeks for the Prozac to work, so hang in there. But there is a serious side effect which can affect about 15% of the population and it affected me and that is a panic disorder. Because of that, I am allergic to Prozac. But like I said, others can be effective. I also suggest that you go through therapy with a qualified psychologist. They can be worth their weight in gold. I wish you the best.
