Cancerous lump or epididymis?!
Question: theres been sort of a lump on the top of my right testicle for a while now, i havnt gotten it checked out because i cant tell if its my epididymis. It hasn't gotten any bigger or smaller sense i noticed it probably a year and a half ago. It gets sore after i examen it. Is it my epididymis or should i visit the doctor immediately? I'm only 16 so i don't really know how to go about telling my parents i need a doctors appointment for this sort of thing.

Randon...... I would suggest a check with the doctor. I have lost both of my testicles, and i would hate to see you lose one from being foolish. It sounds like it could be a cyst or something like it. Certainly i don't believe it's cancer, but I'm also not a doctor , or have esp. Be sensible son and get it looked at. I had an injury from a fall back in 1984,had to have the penis re-attached, and it has been operated on many many times. I finally had an implant put in a year ago to save what i have left. It's shorter by 31/2 inches, but at least i have it. They didn't know how to treat me for years and finally a Dr Burnett in John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland took me on, where the others wanted to amputate it because of the lack of blood supply. I refused and today because i did i still have one. Do me a favor and see the doctor, I wish my situation on no one son. It does soundlike the epididymis, but it sounds again like a cyst. It could be a varicocele or varicose vein above the testicle. These are quite common, can cause mild to moderate aching & discomfort. In rare cases, can cause issues with fertility which would require surgery to fix it, then fertility is usually restored. Where supportive underwear. If you are unsure if the lump is on the testicle itself, then see a Dr, b/c Testicular cancer progresses quickly & is more lethal.

NOBODY ACTUALLY DIES OF EMBARRASSMENT - BUT Men DO die of testicular cancer ! See your doc ! You are of prime age for testicular cancer.
Just tell your parents you were doing a testicular self exam as all males of your age should and you found a lump.
If the lump is on only one testicle that is a bad sign; were it the epididymis both would have it.
