A question for guys?!

Question: What is so attractive about breasts? Are you not aware that they're merely fat and milk glands and that you pretty much have the same thing? A girls chest is pretty similar to an overweight guys chest, yet if we show ours we're exposing ourselves? I don't get it, why do so many guys obsess over breasts? I know not all do, because I'm with someone that treats my chest just like another part of my body, but I really want to know what the big fuss is about. Why are they so attractive, and why are they better when they're bigger? Don't you know it causes us pain to have a large chest? Unfortunately, I do, and you know what? I've developed permanent back problems. So please, answer me?

I think it's more so that we've been conditioned to behave the way we do in response to the sight of a woman's breasts. The same can be said for the butt, which men also have. But my sexuality drives me to desire one over the other (a woman's butt over a man's.)

It's sad actually - that the female breast has become so sexualized in our society. So sexualized that breast-feeding mothers can't breastfeed in public for fear that someone will get offended that she showed bare breasts! I mean c'mon, the natural and MAIN purpose for the female breast IS for feeding/nursing her young. We have over-sexualized the female breast such that whenever a man looks at the breasts, it is seen as something sexual rather than a form of nourishment for babies.

The male chest is not as sexualized as the female chest - and probably never will be. Why? I don't know. But it probably stems from the fact that men are sensate creates - meaning we are stimulated by the senses, one of them being sight. So when we see the thing we equate with sex, we get excited. Women are not as much sensate creates as men. Women get excited as men do at the site of something they can equate to sex, but not to the degree at which men get excited (on the whole).

Good post though. Very thought provoking.

Take care.

it's soft

evolution made it this way
you won't understand it anyway as you are straight
it is impossible to explain
just as for a schizophrenic to explain why he believes in the hallucinations he sees

It's instinctual. Men can't control what they're attracted to. Breasts are a hugely important part of human anatomy, and while we may not think they're "pretty" they're still important, and instinctively, that's what men are attracted to.
Because of that, an appreciation for boobs has become so widespread and common, that it's now an obsession! lots of men don't like the unnatural looking plastic surgery boobs, though.

Blame our ancestors really, it is all bout the natural order of things, its our natural instinct, we want a mate which we know will have an excellent maternal instinct and care for our young, because that is THE ONLY reason that we exist, to pass on our gene.

Pretty much it is, as soon as we fornicate, we are useless.

So, your mammary glands, show your maternal capabilities, and the bigger they are, the more attracted we are, because you seem healthier and more able to care for our young.

Of course not all men are like that, but that is the general thing. Its an inert knowledge, passed down.

I know, not as sexy when you get into it now is it?

The attraction for breasts are a regional thing, in other parts of the world other body parts are more alluring, in Africa, big butts are the thing, or long necks.

In the USA, shapely breasts are more than likely a symbol of fertility and bounty.

It's a male thing, the breast-attraction. You seem to be attacking males about their "obsession". Females are just as bad, they want guys with muscles. Me, I prefer the rear end. I am an @55 man all the way. As far as breasts go, I like them to be proportionate to the female. I like them in all sizes, though I prefer smaller ones. But attitude can ruin a perfect body. If a female has a bad attitude, like you seem to have on this subject, then nothing she has or is is a turn on. Hope that helps, lol.

Im a STRAIGHT girl, but sometimes find myself looking at other girls boobs, so in a way can understand why guys do it ... They are summat to look at, and when dressed up by a girl they look attractive, ie nice underwear, clothes etc.

Also, us girls dont really help do we, by flaunting our chests and making them look appealing to the eye, also we like having them touched/sucked which also attracts boys to look at them cos they know most of us like it. Hope that makes sense.

There's no way to answer this question. It's like asking why do you like chocolate? or why do you like that particular perfume? It appeals to the senses. You can't help what appeals to your senses. It just happens.

Forget it, lady.

I reckon it's just one of them things i guess, one of life's many mysteries.
But i think if that from the very beggining women never covered up their chest's, they wouldn't be such a fascination with men.
But because women DO cover up their breast's, when men actually see them, their like "WOWZERS!" haha.

Its like if a man was walking past you with his manhood on show, you can't lie and tell me you would'nt have a little glance xP

nothing better looking than a womans form and the
breasts are part of the form...

Well to be honest. When your having sex us men like it when they move a lot or bounce. We also like grabbing them.Women with no chest are pretty unattractive..
