My foreskin wont retract!?!

Question: I'm 17 and my foreskin covers my whole penis and wont retract so I cant see my glands. I'm still in puberty cause other areas of my body still need to develop a lot, so does that have something to do with it? Will the skin seperate from the glands eventually? Or could I have phisosis? thanks

Yeah the skin will probably separate from the glans it can take longer for some guys and if you're a late developer then that could be normal. If you want to retract it then try pulling it back, just a little bit, each day. Don't force it but try to stretch it as far as it will go. Do this in the bath or shower and you should notice a difference in time. If that doesn't work and it doesn't loosen in time then you can see a doctor. There are simple treatments for phimosis one cream called betamethasone just needs to be applied to the area and it works for 90% of guys.

pictures! we can't diagnose you w/o pics! lol just kidding

you need to go to the doctor unfortunately. its a common problem, but you DO need to go to the doctor and get something done, it will be worth it trust me.

Sounds like you're still pretty young. So don't worry about it. If in the bath, you can begin little by little pulling it back every day, you will be fine.
Don't rush it, don't hurt yourself.

no you don't have phimosis! unless it looks like this....

My boyfriend had this problem when he was younger (about your age) and eventually when he kept moving the foreskin up and down (if you know what i mean..) and it slowly but surely stretched over the head over time and retracted perfectly fine. It hurt a bit of course (mostly because I forgot and forced it down all the way... ooops) but it was all good in the end.
If thats what youre even talking about..

you can have your foreskin cut or removed.

You have something to do. Most probably the skin will not seperate eventually. I think you have phimosis. You may have to do a circumcission. Several friends of mine have done this.

At 17, you should be out of puberty and if your foreskin will not retract you should see a doctor as soon as possible to get proper professional medical advice. It is not part of your body on which to try do-it-yourself treatments obtained fron the net.

First off it's "glans", not "glands"
Second, you probably have a small opening in your foreskin. It's always been closed up, so it's used to being that size. You need to give it time to stretch. Try rolling it back a bit while you're in the shower. A little bit today, a little more tomorrow, etc.
If this doesn't work you may have one or two minor problems that can be corrected medically, and you do NOT have to have your foreskin removed. If a doctor suggests that, get a second opinion. Some people are so eager to circumcize everyone in sight.

get circumcised problem over

Both Dan and JimR are right. Yes, you can say you are still in puberty. There are late bloomers after all. JimR sure did bring back a memory I had forgotten. I'm blushing. Anyway, give it time and try the advice of Dan. Just don't do the snip-snip. It will losen as you go into adulthood.
