Pain in and around my right shoulder/chest are, could this be a muscle tear or w!
Question: So recently i've been doing pull ups and those "perfect push ups" which have you twist arms outward...Anyhow I was playing basketball yesterday, took a shot, and with ZERO contact it felt like my muscle stretched, sort of like when you rip a piece of french bread and you can feel the bread being pulled before it rips in half...Well I had the pull but no rip...So I iced it last night and have been taking advil...Any additional advice or timeline for when the soreness/pain will subside?

OK, what you have done is you have been obviously using it in excessive amounts recently making your muscles tired so when you through the basketball you have consequently stretched it. the pain will subside in a matter of 2 to 3 days. Try to drink plenty of water and if possible obtain an over the counter heat cream to relax the muscle. you might want to lay off those push ups for about a week afterwards as well just to give it time to heal.
hope this helps.
