It's okay - in psychology they call this "penis envy" (Google that), and it supposedly a major reason why sometimes you see a strong daughter/father bond, and mother/son!.

Concerning the whole mimicking everything you do!.!. it seems to me like you're the only role model in her life - Do you have a female friend that cyou can at least let her play with for a little!? Maybe she can just do girly things with her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was gonna give a smartass answer, but!.!.!.

Relax, dad!. At her age, she has no sense of gender identity, as she hasn't learned to identify certain behavior as masculine or feminine!.

She doesn't think she's a guy!. She thinks she has an awesome dad, and she wants to imitate him!.

Once she enters formalized school, she will be subject to gender stereotyping that will condition her to conform to a more feminine role!. Which is not necessarily a good thing!.

Keep doing what you're doing, and enjoy this special time with your daughter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You just have to explain to her that boys and girls are different!.

Tell her that she was made differently because she's a girl, so she will never have a penis, but she will have something just as special and important: a vagina!.

No need to go into too much detail with her about it, but if you act excited about it, she will, and will probably stop asking about it!. After all, most kids ask this question at some point, and we all just have to get by it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok your a single dad and your little girl saw your penis so what it's no big deal!. I grew up as a naturist I saw thousands of them it's only a big deal if you make a fuss over it as for her copying you its ok for now she will go to school and mix with other girls enjoy her being there because you will miss her once she starts school Www@Answer-Health@Com

shes 3 years old cut her some slack!. The whole mimicing thing is prolly just because if she wants a penis and your wieght lifting, she might think doing that will make one grow!. yeah let her spend time with some female friends!. When shes older and in her teens she'll be normal and you could tell her about this and she'll be so embarressed!. I garentee!. I think that the first answer is the one you should give 10 points to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when a girl grow to 4 years old she will develop, according to Freud, penis envy!. this will be resolved some years later!. plz search about it!.

personally, i think the kids see sex from a different point of view, not like adults!. Don't be panic!. u can start by explaining that boys and girls are different

best wishes 4 uWww@Answer-Health@Com

lol!.!. that's hysterical!. My niece when she was three used to try to stand up to pee like boys do!.!.!. she would stand there and aim!.!. lol!. Kids are always doing funny things mate!. Dont be too concerned about your little princess!. She will grow up before you know it!.!.!. and that's when you really got trouble!.!.!. keep training!.!. you gonna need it!.!.!. lol!.

Just tell her the same thing every boy and girl that age learns!.!. you know the penis/vagina boy/girl thing!. She will get the hang of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your daughter definitelyy needs a mother in her life!. It is quite normal for a child to idolize their parents!. As your daughter gets older she will need a mother figure more but as for right now she is just a child and it is important for you two to just have fun!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

What Between said is 100% right!. I taught this age for several years in school!. I'd have moms FLIP OUT when their son put on a dress from the dress up box!. It meant absolutely nothing!. They are clueless at this age! Those boys are now 18, played high school football and are not crossdressers!.!.lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe if there is a single woman in your family that you are close to, invite her to stay at your place for a while so she has a woman figure in her lifeWww@Answer-Health@Com

she will hopefully forget about the penis deal!. as far as her coping you train, i don't see anything wrong with that!. just don't let her hurt herself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Let her spend time with females as often as you can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it wouldn't hurt to explain the difference of what boys have and what girls have, there's gotta be some childs book on the differenceWww@Answer-Health@Com

Tell her she can only grow a penis if she makes good grades in school!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She's 3 get her in school or day care where she can interact with other girls!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

relax!. when she gets in school and around other girls she is going to be alright!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tell her that there are 2 different genders and tell her that u are diffrent from herWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's a shame they don't issue instructions when you have a child! You have to stumble along just like everybody else, trying to figure it all out!. Should the penis question come up again, try to explain to her that little girls don't have a penis - only boys do!. What's so hard about that!? Try enrolling her in a pre-school or day care part time, if you can afford it, so she will have other kids to play with!. She needs to learn how to get along with others her age & to learn to interact with both boys and girls!. And never say never - you might end up eating your words!. Been there - done that!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because shes only 3 this might not be a big deal!. if she was 13 then it might be an issue!. I would talk to a therapist i believe if you have insurance it might cover it!. Not sure but i remember going into a psychologist once in my life and my insurance covered it!. It was when i was young too!. Btw when i was young I swear to gosh i really really really wanted big muscles!. I envied the big muscles that guys had and wanted some (seeing serena williams with some muscles made me want some, plus itll make me better at tennis) but my parents explained to me that without tetostrone itll be much harder to get big muscles and i rememeber literally crying and wailing and saying "sometimes i wish i was a boy!"
and oh, i grew up ok Lol ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Explain to her that she is never going to get a penis in the most simple terms!. As for her thinking she's a guy, there's really no problem in that, just as long as she doesn't convince herself of it!. Don't tell her not to workout with you, that could have detrimental, long lasting effects that could influence whether or not she wants to work out in the future!. Also, I would highly suggest you get into the dating scene again, because your lack of dating can also have effects on your daughter's confidence!. If she sees that you put no effort into finding love and a partner, she'll have not motivation or confidence to do it when she gets older!. Also, it's fine if she doesn't live up to gender stereotypes; girls don't have to play with dolls and play mommy in the kitchen, and boys don't have to be aggressive and rough-housers!. Letting her break from the gender stereotypes is actually a good thing for her in the future, because she'll be more aware of differences of mindsets and mentalities in a relationship, as well as being more of a stronger woman as she wouldn't have been socialized to become a passive housewife (what do you think all the child cooking and dolly toys are doing!?)!. If she asks awkward questions about men and women and things like that, simply tell her you'll talk about it with her when she's older!. Also, breaking gender roles does have some impact on your communication; the two of you will become closer and the more awkward discussions later in life will be more causal and open, making things much easier for the both of you!. I hope you the best in raising your daughter, and I hope she grows into a capable young lady!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dont worry so much about this!. She just understand the difference!. Eventually she will forget about it!. She wants one because she saw one and noticed she doesn't have one!. If the problem lasts too long and gets too serious then you will have to explain to her!. The weight lifting is probably something she might leave or follow!. Truth is, she does it only cause you do it!. You are a single dad and she looks up to you!. She is just emulating you!. If you start doing something else regularly then she will probably end up doing that also!. She wants to be like you because you are always there and she looks up to you!. You may end up having to explain differences for her so she will understand!. Just tell her she won't grow one because she is a girl and girls can't have them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're probably the only real role model in her life, so she wants to be just like you!. Don't be too upset, it just means she loves you!
As for the penis deal, she'll grow out of it!. Once she gets to school-age and starts getting girl friends, she'll realize how great it is to be a girl!.
In the meantime, you could try hiring a woman nanny or a teenage girl babysitter!. They could do girly things with her, like painting fingernails!. You could also explain how boys have penises, but girls have something too!.
Just show her that she's important and special just the way she is :]

Hope I helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com
