Fellow bodybuilder dudes; need help explaining WHY I suddenly feel tired/non mot!
Question: Fellow bodybuilder dudes; need help explaining WHY I suddenly feel tired/non motivated?
Hey guys. Erm I suddenly feel weak and tire easily when working out and I do not know why.
For the past 6 weeks I was pumping iron 3 times a week, working out for 2 hours each session. Warmup with 10-15 minutes of cycling, then pumping iron for an hour plus, then running. I was making good gains; e.g. was barely able to bench press 20kg, but now I can do 50kg. I could barely dumbbell press 10 kg, now I can do 16kg. I couldn't do any pullups, but now I can do 10.
I got ill once and so I took a week of layoff... then the gym closed for another week. So i haven't been back there until today.
And I find it very difficult to workout for more than an hour. I grew tired and couldn't do as many supersets as before. Like I would do 7-8 reps of an exercise, wait 30 seconds and do it again... but NOW i have to wait 2 minutes to recuperate.
Now that we are in week 8 in the semester, school work is piling up and I have a lot of deadlines to meet and i feel like I should be working my brain instead of my body.
Is it possible that mentally I am losing motivation because of school work? Or is it because I took a 2 week layoff?

Both it think,
And don't discount the fact you may be at a plateau - even a slightly lower one. it might take some time to break though, but vary your workouts and your gym routines, and it'll help.
