Do I have arthritis? Is it because I broke that bone? How to make it feel better!
Question: Do I have arthritis? Is it because I broke that bone? How to make it feel better?
I broke my clavicle last year during the summer and the re-fractured it before it had healed all the way. This winter my shoulder has been so achy and just plain hurting. My mom says that I might have arthritis because if you’ve broken a bone, you’re more likely to get it in that area. She gave me some Aleve and told me to stay home and rest today because I can’t even lift my arm it hurts so bad. The Aleve has helped a little but I’m still hurting pretty badly.
Do you think I do have arthritis? Is it true that you have a higher chance of getting it if you’ve broken a bone? What else can I do to help ease the pain(my mom’s at work so I can’t ask her)?

Yes, that's very possible. It's not just breaking bones either, it's surgery too. My husband's had two back surgeries and recently found out he has arthritis in his back.
