Testicular discomfort?!

Question:

Testicular discomfort?

This past month I've felt testicular discomfort and I went to the ER,had an ultra sound and a doctor do the examine thing for cancer and they said no cancer, torsion and all it is is a small hydrocele in both of them an told me to go a urologist for further examination.
I went to the Urologist and told him i thought i felt a lump on the top of of my testicles especially the right one and been feeling discomfort and no sharp pains. He felt around and showed him exactly what i was feeling and he felt it and said yeah its just the epididymitis and he said would it relieve you if i told you you dont have cancer? I said of course. He said well you dont have testicular cancer and that he sees alot of testicular cancer in here especially in 19 year olds. and i dont have it. but didnt get anything for the hydrocele. I noticed the right is a little bigger then the left, but before getting checked out i felt around & squeezed something causing pain, can squeezing cause this ongoing discomfort?

Answers:

Testicular discomfort may be caused by several causes, but small hydroceles are seldom a reason for it. If you already had a normal ultrasound and nothing unusual on physical exam, most likely explanation for your discomfort is a minor local inflammation, or what is called "reflex pain". In other words, what you feel comes from irritation of a nerve traveling from the groin down to the testicular area. This may be originated from some lumbar spinal problems related to certain movements or physical strain. Don't squeeze yourself because it will get worse.
