i have a bald spot on the right side of my beard how long might it take for it to grow in or back i dont know if ive ever had hair there i didnt use to grow it out

Is is a scar? If not, just let everything grow out for a month and then trim accordingly.....leave a little longer to cover that spot up. It will take work. I know people who have really patchy beards and look rather silly when they dont shave for a week.
