Armadillo's someone told me they spread leprosy is that true?!
Question: Armadillo's do harbor Mycobacterium leprae, the causative organism of leprosy. There are reports of lerosy transmission to humans but it isn't always easy to prove. Leprosy is not a highly contagious disease. Armadillo's are reported to have leprosy lesions as well. It is interesting that armadillo's are the only know natural reservoir of the bacteria other than humans. So, armadillo's do not actually spread leprosy. It isn't something you should worry about. Even if you handle infected animals the possibility of transmission is very low.

Yes its true if you hit one on the road dont get close
No, they don't spread leprosy. Armadillo is the only animal in which leprosy bacteria grow (in lab), apart from man.
I would consult a scientific web site and if they have blog asking about that....I wouldn't touch it before I know for sure I am a germaphobe or call your local animal control.
