What can I use to alleviate dry air?!
Question: I am having some issues with the dry air in my apartment. I live in MN and the weathers are extremely cold and we have to run our gas heat. I purchased a humidfier but the "36 hours" it is supposed to last only lasts about 10 hours while we are sleeping. I have been waking up with dried bloody noses every morning. I know it is the air, because when I head East (Philly) it completely stops.
I started using a moisturizing nasal spray but it doesn't seem to be doing any thing. I don't have an option of adding a humidifer to my heating system since i live in an apartment.
Does anyone have anything that has helped them??

simmer a pot of water on your stove. (or make a batch of homemade soup)
put a thin layer of vaseline petroleum jelly inside your nose.
my mom in law had the same nose bleed problem cuz ofdry air & that's what the doc told her to do
