Does sunscreen reduce the appearence of freckles or only prevent them.?!

Question: Sunscreen really has nothing to do with freckles, reducing or preventing them. Freckles are small colored spots of melanin on the exposed skin or membrane of people with complexions fair enough for them to be visible....and basically...it's caused by genetics. It is true that exposure to sunlight can cause more freckles, but these are a little different than normal freckles. These are also known liver spots and generally don't show up until about 40 y.o. and it's due to the bodies decreased ability to recover from exposure to UV rays. Freckles are just somehting you have to live with. There are "procedures" to reduce the amount of freckles you have, but it's best just to live with them...they have been known to reduce in number as you get older.

Sunscreen does not reduce the appearance of freckles. It won't prevent them either, but will help.

Won't reduce them. May help prevent them, or at the very least the sunscreen will protect your skin from sun damage. Will minimize the wrinkles you will get from the sun.
