How does it feel?!
Question: when you have an asthma attack? I was told I have asthma from the Pulmonary Specialist and my nurse at my General Practionier said, it's smokers lung, so I have to use Advair. I have only been on Advair for about 1 1/2 weeks now. Sometimes my chest gets real tight and I cough and spit up mucus. YES, I am a smoker! I know, I need to quit, please don't lecture me. I am waiting for approval for Chantix.

asthma attack = NOT FUN & SCARY (sometimes)
when i get an attack it starts out as just my chest getting tight and me coughing a lot and feeling short of breath, then it starts getting harder to breath (if i don't take my albuteral sp?) and my chest keeps getting tighter. eventually if the rescue inhalers don't work it feels like breathing through a straw - or coffee stirrer (it's littler). the first time i had an asthma attack was before i was dx'd - found out i had it through an ER visit - but by the time they gave me a nebulizer i was starting to feel like i was tired of working to breathe.
