What are some ailments that are related to obesity?!

Question: I am wondering because I have just been diagnosed as obese. I wasn't really suprised about this being that I weigh 330 pounds and am 6'1" at age 22. Luckily though, I have some height too, so I'm not some blob of fat.

You may not be a "blob of fat" but you've been diagnosed as obese and that says a lot so don't blow that off, it's very serious.

Since you are young, you will have an easier time to lose weight and can ensure a healthy long life by doing the right things now. Or, not and pay a heavy price in the not so distant future.

Here you go: clogged arteries, heart attack, congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, stroke, digestive problems, knee problems, hip problems, back problems, breathing problems, foot problems, etc. etc. The list goes on and on, but I think you get the idea. At least I hope you do.

Be smart and begin to eat healthy, get some exercise daily and drink lots of pure water.

Heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure

Diabetes.

Diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular disease

Gallbladder disease
Diabetes
Cardiac (heart) disease
High Blood Pressure
Kidney Failure
Stroke

Over time, obesity can cause an increased risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, as well as a risk of early death.

Obesity is proven to be directly related to diabetes. At your age you can be assured that if you continue to be obese you will most likely end up with diabetes. Diabetes can be a fatal disease and can lead to many terrible things such as amputation of the extremeties, heart disease, kidney failure, liver problems and many other serious health problems. Don't try to rationalize that you are tall so 330 lbs really isn't that bad, IT IS!!! Otherwise you would not have been classified 'obese' which means too heavy for your height. 330 lbs is VERY heavy even if you were 6'6". Don't fool yourself.

there are a huge host of complications that can be contributed to obesity. Heart conditions,Heart disease, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Poor joint Health, Poor Leg Circulation, Ankle Injuries, Knee Injuries, and so on. These are just a few.

Here is a link to a web site that I think might help some of your questions.

I hope this will help you.
