Theoretically it's possible, but realistically it's probably not true. If you stop now, in a couple of years you go back to the same risks as a non smoker. Well done for making the step to quit, now make sure you do it :)!
The cancer effects on smoking will probably take about 10-20 yrs to kick in. If you quit now, your body will probably return to its pre smoking health level in about 5 yrs.
I doubt that you have cancer because you have not really smoked that long. Be sure and quit so that your lungs can repair any damage that might have been done.
i would expect cancer for people who have been smoking for very long...but there second hand smokers who also have been getting cancer and i don't think they have been around the smoker for that long....
cancer is controlled by cells reproducing and i think it's different for every person...
15 a day is A LOT
