Low blood pressure??!

Question: I have type 2 diabetes. I monitor my glucose extremely well and watch my diet. My blood pressure is always on the low side, however, not considered to be extreme or dangerous. However, for a few days now, I feel almost like I have low blood sugar, but it's not. (between 95 and 102 ) I don't have a blood pressure monitor at home. Could this be sign of pressure being too low ?? I feel sort or shakey on the inside and tired. I'm not taking any other medication except for my insulin, and that's nothing new. I walk every day, and that doesn't cause these symptoms any other time. Any ideas of what it could be??

You should probably invest in a good BP monitor. Just to be on the safe side.
sometimes when your blood sugar is on the normal side your body is used to it being a little high. so when it is in the lower normal range Your body will react as though you are having hypoglycemia.
I hope this helps but get a bp monitor any way. anything lower than 90/60 should be addressed immediately with a dr.

You should see a doctor & in the mean time, you could get your BP checked at Wal-Mart Pharmacy.

There is no law that says glucometers must be accurate! One of mine by AccuChek is 25 points high according to the lab tests at the time of the testing. Another is right on, so I use it in preferance. The insurance co is in love with AccuChek and will pay 100% for the cost of strips, but not for the other.

Also when was the last time you changed batteries in your meter? They do tend to get screwey numbers when the battery is low but before the "Lo Batt" signal comes on.

wife diabetic for 30 yrs. had hi b/p when they tried to get it down she could not function cut back on med. she done very well. you need to eat more salt w/food see if that helps.
