Well honestly, you have to ask yourself if this is something new and also if it happens when you eat one type of food or more than one. Also how long your "runs" last and how many in a day. I myself have an IBD which is called Crohn's Disease...I thought it was just a weaken gut...so I took little magic green pill that Imodium AD put out. To be honest with you if you have cases of it happening more often than it should...you might have something going on in your GI tract that needs to be seen with a doctor, I know you don't want to go the doctor and be like, yo doc...see more of the toilet lately than anything... If you don't want to take an OTC (Over The Counter) anti-pooping pill than stick with starch foods...try bananas first than mash potatoes. I hope this helps with your questioning. If you need anything else I'm here to help you. If you do take Imodium AD BE SURE to drink lots of water...with Loperamide which the active ingredient in Imodium, it slows the contractions in the intestines and reduces the about of water it produces, which gives you the "stopped up". Good luck!

imodium works great

drink a lot of water.... diarrhea is a sign of dehydration. also, eat bananas they help

When you get it your body is trying to get rid of something it doesn't want.Keep hydrated let it happen.Learn about food and how it should be kept from deteriorating.

Yes, Imodium definitely works, but make sure to drink LOTS of water because it WILL stop you up! Bananas, too. For little ones, dr's prescribe the B.R.A.T. diet: bananas, rice, applesauce and I forget what the T is for! But, definitely bananas and rice.

and, make sure to wash your hands (whether it's you or a baby you might be changing).

Good luck!

Drink only clean, purified water. Remember that soda has water that may only be as pure as the local drinking water, in other words, not so much.

Wash all vegetables thoroughly. Wash your hands with soap before eating and after anything that gets them dirty.

Imodium and other products like it will reduce your chances but it interferes with the body's natural processes. Your best chance at prevention is keeping the germs out of your mouth and off your food.
