So... another sickly infection?!

Question: Please read this thoroughly. I had a viral infection that didn't subside until six weeks. All my viral symptoms went away, but my chest congestion didn't go away. There was a kid in my class that was sick yesterday and he came back and he didn't realize it but he coughed in my face. I felt his cough hit my mouth. Tuesday I had a low grade fever of 99.0 according to my RN. Today is Friday and I'm still sick. I'm nauseated. I had extreme diarrhea after I walked on the treadmill for thirty minutes. I feel like my stomach is churning and I've got the chills every now and then. I hope you read all of this. What's going on? I'm not listening for you for an exact diagnosis but I want your opinion to see what might be going on.

Symptoms:

Nausea

Extreme Diarrhea

Chest Congestion

Low Grade Fever

Chills

Feeling sick

Churning In The Stomach

Yeah, infection. The fever gives it away. Your immune system was probably weakened a bit after your other viral infection and your body hadn't fully recovered from it before you were introduced to a new infection.

Nausea, diarrhea, churning are all digestive occurances (ie quite possibly a stomach bug or something along those lines that occupies those areas). If your chest congestion was from an earlier infection, it might just be residual and not neccesarily associated with the new infection. Try herbal tea and honey and lots of hot drinks.

Fevers only happen when you have an infection, your body raises its temperature so the lymphocytes (white blood cells that get rid of foreign bacteria/viruses/bacteria) work faster to rid your body of the foreign substances. Chills may well be associated with the fever.

I'd bed rest it for a few days, a week tops. If it lasts longer than that you'll want to go to a gp and get it checked out just to make sure your body doesnt need any extra help dealing with it.

stomach virus, maybe
u being nervous because of the possibilty, most likely
