Can allergies worsen over time if continuously exposed to allergens?!

Question: My parents bought my sister a dog a while ago, even though my allergist told my Mom not to because I am quite allergic to dogs. So far, I have not been bothered very much by the dog, but I have had some problems. Now, it seems like my allergies are getting very bad, even though I have not changed anything in my normal medicine regimen. If it was spring I would suspect this to be normal seasonal allergies, but yesterday it was only 7 degrees, so I know that's not the case. Could there be a new allergen that is bothering me, or is it that the dog is starting to bother me again?

It is most likely the dog. Because i am highly allergic to dogs, and when ever im around them for a bout 1 or 2 days im fine, but after about a week, i get really bad. and once i get the dog comepletely away from me for a few days the reaction goes away. but this is for me, so remember that that might not be the solution for you.

im allergic to cats, and i got a kitten for my daughter, my allergy has gotten better since the cat arrived, i have to remember to wash my hands after ive touched her, and i vacume my house all the time, also we brush our cat to keep the hair from floating around, in time your allergy may get better, but take precautions so you can keep your allergy under control, good luck.

Ur body will react from being exposed 2 the allergen more but it won't worsen ur allergies!
