I want to become a bone marrow doner...how do i become one? is it sore?!
Question: go to this site you can get info on how to be put on the registry. if you do donate yes it will hurt some but the pain will be worth possibly saving someones life.
Side effects and recovery
You can expect to feel some soreness in your lower back for a few days or longer. Most donors are back to their normal routine in a few days. Your marrow is completely replaced within four to six weeks.

I am sure you can register somewhere locally in your area. Try checking you local hospital. To register all they do is take blood samples. They do not do any further testing until your blood and the other persons at least match well enough for further testing. While you are at it (if you are old enough to drive) you can also select to be an organ donar as well. If not be sure your parents are aware of your desires.
Why? I heard bone marrow extraction is really painful.
