I have always had this problem.. more chapped lips than cold sores, but I FINALLY, after years... found a miracle treatment. Go to a pharmacy or most likely a health food store, and get a small can of pure 100% Lanolin. At night before going to sleep, cake a thick layer of Lanolin on your lips. It doesn't smell that good, but it's worth it. Just sleep with the Lanolin there and when you wake up in the morning, take a wet wash rag and scrub your lips gently and all the cracked dry skin will peel right off.

To keep your lips soft after this, you should use something natural - chapstick can make your lips worse because it's waxy. Get something with oils in it. Like Carmex or Burt's Bees. Keep that on your lips at all times, and do the Lanolin overnight treatment as needed. I promise it will help! :)

http://www.lanolip.com/ - This stuff is also really good to use during the day. It smells and tastes yummy!

I know it sounds gross, but Vaseline is totally the way to go. In my opinion, chapstick is good at preventing chapped lips but terrible at curing them.

Aberva(sp?)

burts bees works reallly really well. You can get it anywhere, pretty much. They look like chapstick and it's a canary yellow.

get some carmex to cure your chap lips and there is supposed to be a special cream for cold sores just ask a doctor

Go to genniesalve.com you wont belive how good this works. And its all natural. You will not belive how good this works.
