How do you tame the redness of a cold sore that is almost healed..?!

Question: it is almost gone but it is still very bright red... is there something i can apply to it to make it less red? I want to look presentable tomorro night!

Just put on some foundation. And carry it with you as when you talk or eat it will wear some.
