Hiv from oral sex?!

Question: I have only gotten oral sex from a girl. I would like to know what the chances of being infected are.

The chances are extremely slim, but yes, you can contract the disease. It has yet to be proven that HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, can be transmitted at all through oral sex, but it cannot be disproven, either. The CDC, in my opinion, has taken the stance to cover all of the bases to say that yes, it does. They may be right, they may not be. HIV is a tricky virus, and I think that anything is possibly. However, I personally don't like to take chances. I don't think that there is much risk (or any risk) with this particular activity, especially since you were on the "receiving end," but sometimes it's better to be safe as opposed to sorry. I think you'll be fine, but I'm no medical professional. I get tested every 6 months for HIV, sexual activity or not. I have included an article on HIV transmission and oral sex for your consideration from a very reputable source. I hope it helps. But I would consider testing. But, one thing to keep in mind: HIV usually takes 3-6 months to even show up in someone's test. Therefore, getting a test now (if the sexual activity occurred recently) might come back as negative, while, you may not have any sexual activity for months and you get tested then and it comes back positive. Sometimes the seroconversion of the virus and the presence in the bloodstream takes some time. If I can help with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask.

If she has it it she could infect you if her gums were bleeding or something like that. If you had it she could definitely get it quick. Get a test done and ABSTAIN yourself.

VERY SLIM.......unless she has a cut in her mouth and the blood gets into your pee pee hole, and then again, prob not even then....

Chances are 50/50

If she had an STD in her mouth or has AIDS then you can get it, but if she doesn't then your in the clear

Is there a connection between HIV and oral sex? There is a commonly held belief among many lay people that oral sex carries little or no risk. In fact, some consider oral sex a safer sex alternative. But the truth is, like any other sexual activity, oral sex carries a risk of transmitting HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. The risk is even greater in serodiscordant couples (one partner is HIV positive while the other is negative), people who are not monogamous, or in people who inject drugs and/or share needles and syringes. Truth be told, abstaining from oral, anal, and vaginal sex all together is the only way to completely avoidthe sexual transmission of HIV. But how realistic is that?

it being done on you very slight chance but if you had it and finished in her mouth she would have a very good chance of being infected just as if you was to go down on a girl you could get infected.

one in a million. May be nil. Hiv comes from unsafe sex with aids infected or exchange of syringes.

If she has a open sore in her mouth, or had some kind of std in her mouth... They do say that oral sex is safer than intercourse. Who knows. Google it!

Yes! The person administering oral sex to the infected person, has quite a chance of catching it from the infected person.

The chance can range anywhere from 0 to 99%.

HIV is all about sexual and blood contact.

If her mouth has a bleeding area, etc. then yeah you can get infected. Best way to know is get a check up from the doc.
