Has anyone had Meningitus before?!
Question: I had it mine was spinal meningitus it was the most horrible thing i've gone through in my whole life, I thought I was going to die. Can I give blood? I had it back in 2005

Yes, you can still donate blood. Think of Meningitis like an infection you might get elsewhere in your body. Like other infections, it is caused by either a bacteria or a virus. Once it has been treated and you are recovered, it is gone from your body.

Meningitis can be either viral or bacterial - spinal meningitis doesn't exist. I had viral meningitis, along with optic neuritis, 4 years ago, when I was in 8th grade. It was awful, the doctors just couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I believe you should still be able to give blood.
