exhausted. swollen neck on one side. I was in college and walking across campus made me feel like I was running a freakin' marathon. Bad news.
I kicked it in two weeks and it never returned. I learned I was extremely stressed out and was being selfish and living in my head without really concerning myself with health and keeping my immunity up.
Apparently the mono virus is encountered by a single human about 10,000 times a day, it only takes over your body when your immunity is down. There is no cure except to keep VERY HYDRATED, do very minimal if not NO activities, and sleep sleep sleep. You should recover quickly, but be careful to keep your immunity high with vitamin c, hydration, and low stress levels cuz if you ge tsick again within a year of having mono, it will affect you much more than a non mono afflicted person.

I got mono in 11th gr. i had a sour throat within 2 days of coming in contact with it. i thought i was getting strep, after a couple of days of not eating and passing out in class, i went to the dr and what do you know...mono.
