Survivor rate?!
Question: i was researching cervical cancer and some sites were stating a five year survival rate at certain stages were some odd percentages. i'm paraphrasing here.
why do these sites state a five year survival rate?
do you only have five years after the cancer is found to live? is there a five year period that the cancer can come back after it's found? i don't understand.

btw...i'm curious b/c i've had cancer cells in there when i was a teenager and i know i'm at a high risk and i just wanted to research it.
