It is possible and happens frequently, two different areas: Pneumonia can be viral and not always treated with antibiotics as stated earlier.

Pneumonia and bronchitis are called lower respiratory diseases because they affect your lungs or the airways leading into the lungs. Upper respiratory diseases such as colds affect your nose, throat and sinuses.

Pneumonia

Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lung caused by bacteria, viruses or fungus. The air sacs in the lungs fill with pus or other liquid, and prevent enough oxygen from getting into your body
Bronchitis

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, the airways that connect the windpipe to the lungs. Bronchitis makes it harder for air to pass through the lungs. When these tubes get infected, they swell and mucus forms, causing you to cough mucus and wheeze.

Yes it is possible to have both. How ever with both the antibiotic only works with pneumonia. Breathing treatments will help both.

I have had bronchitis that has turned into pneumonia. Just go to your doc quick!!!

if my memory serves me correct pneumonia is a stronger strain of bronchitis;;if you let brochitis go it turns into pneumonia

Yes it is possible to have pneumonia and bronchitis at the same time, when I was three months old I had them and ,whooping cough as well, which my elder brothers bought home from school, I was very sickly and it took two years for me to recover fully due to my age, the Doctor said it was only the love and attention from my parents that saved me, they had a horrendous ten weeks with me. but as you are older you will be ok, you just need to rest and take the tablets, keep warm and you willl be fine. God Bless.
